A clearer home for 1,500+ talks.
Rebranding and building features that help people explore IT Revolution’s conference video library.
The problem.
A large collection of conference talks needs useful ways in. Search, browsing, transcripts, and related material all influence whether someone can move from a question to a talk worth watching.
What I built.
I rebranded IT Revolution’s video library and built many of its features. My contributions include discovery and viewing experiences, transcript and entity-related work, and publishing and management workflows behind the public library. This is work within an existing product, with shared credit.
The decisions that matter.
Design for discovery
Connect search, facets, transcripts, and related material rather than relying on a long list of videos.
Connect publishing to the experience
Help staff review recordings and metadata before they enter the library.
Follow the details through
Carry the rebrand into the pages, navigation, and smaller interactions people actually use.
The result.
A rebranded experience with substantial feature development around a library of more than 1,500 talks. The supporting publishing workflow includes a reviewable, resumable process for matching recordings and metadata.
